omaneo.GUDRUN — Plain talk
And now some plain talk: what she can do, and what she cannot.
What the GUDRUN is not
- No shortcut. She does not spare you the practice. Anyone who wants good espresso without practising is served more honestly by a bean-to-cup machine — we carry those, too.
- Not a status object. She does not stand in the kitchen to be admired. She stands there to be used — coffee marks welcome.
- No substitute for the big machine. Anyone already pulling three perfect doubles a day does not need a teacher but a tool. We would rather say so beforehand.
- Not a machine for price comparison. You can put her next to cheaper machines and compare figures. Only you would be measuring the wrong thing: not what she costs, but what you can do with her after a year.
One day you will be better than your teacher
That is not an accident, it is the point. A teacher you never outgrow has taught badly.
Then you want a machine that simply obeys. We will not stand in your way — on the contrary: buy it from the good specialist dealer near you, where you can touch it, hear it and taste it. We are not against specialist retail, we work with it.
What we get out of it: honestly, nothing at first — except someone who learned the craft with us and passes it on.
Pass GUDRUN on
When you move up to the big machine one day, a teacher will be standing in your kitchen who is far from tired. Do not sell her. Pass her on — to your child, to your neighbour, to the colleague who always eyes your espresso so enviously.
One machine that has taught in three kitchens one after the other is dearer to us than three machines sitting in cupboards.
